About
Meet Louise
I am from the beautiful county of Clare. I live with my husband, our 3 crazy fun-loving kids and our precious dog Oreo.
Before completing my Diploma in Mindfulness and Positive Psychology. I worked in corporate finance for 20 years.
As a busy mom, I was working full time trying to balance it all. I’d look at everyone else and wonder how they are managing everything when I felt like my world was spinning.
I felt stressed out, anxious and a constant sense of overwhelmed most of the time.
I’d spend so much time in my head worrying was I doing enough as a mom, a wife, a friend, a sister, a daughter, and employee. Spending a lot of time ruminating over something that happened a week, a month or even a year ago.
I began practising yoga and gentle birthing meditation in 2012 while pregnant with my second child and found it was a great support to me. This was the beginning of my journey with meditation and mindfulness. I found it was always something I always turned to when I became stressed or anxious or in moments of crisis because it always centred and grounded me. But once I felt good in myself again Id stop because I didn’t “have the time” to do it every day.
The more I studied Mindfulness I soon realised it isn’t just about sitting still and silent for long periods. I learned that you could bring short mindfulness practices into the simplest of tasks throughout your day and still get the benefits.
I completed a MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course, similar my 6 week course) in 2019, I made mindfulness and meditation a daily practice and all of a sudden one day I notice my anxiety was no longer there. If I am honest, I didn’t know I had anxiety until it stopped, I was no longer getting a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and chest pangs for no reason. I thought this was “normal” and everyone felt like this every day. I had no connection to my body and what it was telling me because I was stuck in my head and before I knew it I was in a stressed sate.
Practicing Mindfulness changed the way I responded to stress, I began to listen to my body more and soon realised it was telling me I was stressed or anxious.
“If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.”

My Why
Why I do what I do
I found mindfulness, and it changed my life.
Whether you are a busy working professional, parent or student trying to juggle it all, maybe you are caring for an elderly relative, a family member with special needs, or just trying to balance your work, social and family life.
Whoever you are….
I want to help you lead a less stressed and more positive life by teaching you the Mindfulness & Positive Psychology methods that helps me become more present and less stressed, anxious, and burnt out.
I believe little changes daily add up to huge results.
I am passionate about supporting others while helping them understand how their mind works so they can recognise that they have the power to change their habitual unhelpful ways of thinking.
Our minds talk to us all day long and we listen, I want to make sure the voice you listen to is kind, supportive and always has your back. We can do this by building a better relationship with our thoughts especially the negative unhelpful thoughts.
Through mindfulness we bring a conscious awareness to our thoughts, the good, the bad and the ugly, once you begin to identify and notice your unhelpful negative thoughts patterns, this is when you have the real power to see them as thoughts, not facts. Just because you think them does not mean they are true; you are not your thoughts.
The moment you become aware of your thoughts especially the ones that cause you the most stress and anxiety in your life. You soon realise, they are thoughts from the past or thoughts from the future. We have no control of them. This is the moment we become present and have control of each thought, we identify and start to build a better relationship with our thoughts, we question them ….does this thought serves me, or does it cause me stress and harm?
A lot of these habitual thinking styles are embedded in our unconscious and we aren’t even aware of them swirling around making us feel anxious in our belly, giving us pangs in our chest or just a feeling of unease.
Through mindfulness, compassion and being present I can help you build a better relationship with your thoughts and yourself.
The only moment you have control of is right now – this present moment and mindfulness keeps us in the present moment.
If you are present, you are no longer trapped in the remorse, and regrets of the past.
If you are present, you are no longer worrying, stressed and anxious about the future.
Life is a gift and we only get one chance at it and as soon as we realise that we have the power within us to live life to the fullest …..that is the biggest gift.
My gift is I get to teach my clients to become more present in their lives through practising evidence-based mindfulness and positive psychology practices so they can learn to deal with their thoughts, the pressures of daily life while living a less stressed and more mindful life in the present.
Testimonials
“'I thoroughly enjoyed this mindfulness course with Louise, not only was it something I looked forward to in the week (1.5 hours to myself!) but I learned so much. I have always tapped in and out of meditation but honestly since this course I have been meditating almost daily, it was exactly what I needed having tried books/CBT etc...the homework was key for me! thanks Louise and I look forward to attending the next sessions with you.”

“I just wanted to say that I took a lot from the course, at the beginning, yes, I was saying ‘Oh God ‘what I have signed up for It was a huge change to try and switch your mind to think another way and to bring it into the present moment. I have taken some tools from it, I am getting better at pausing, breathing (This calms me down and I am clearer with my thoughts) I would highly recommend this course and I will to others for sure"
